After seeing Vicky Ross' video Skin Tone demo pastel acrylic on YouTube, she inspired me to take my pastel colors out of the box and try it out. I did not use soft pastel for quite some time, so thanks to Vicky I'm doing it again!
I tried to make a portrait of princess Maria Louise van Hessen Kassel (1688-1765). She was an ancestor of the Dutch royals and a lot of European royals as well. I'm involved in a cultural history project about her life.
To all vintage freebie lovers: from now on I will try to post each Friday of the week a new vintage image. Recently I bought three bound volumes of full year 'Katholieke Illustratie' dating 1868-1869, 1871-1872, 1873-1874. Those magazines are filled with exquisite illustrations and alpha. It will take a while to scan all the illustrations, I reckon there are at least 500 images to scan. It will be such a treasure for vintage scrapbooking!
